Qi. QI GONG THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES( I, II, III, IV, V)

Acupuncture, massage and other healing arts are physical modalities. Qi is a energy modality.
The therapist will enhance their practice by combining Qi with their healing art and adding
these techniques to patient therapy. Each course is divided into four units consisting of:
1. The philosophy of Qi Gong Therapy
2. Demonstration and practice of Qi development and Qi building techniques for therapy.
3. Demonstration of each technique with Qi, and apply to the whole body.
4. Students work with each other under supervision to feel and experience the Qi technique
and apply it to other students with mutual feedback.

This is a series of five seminars and each course covers different techniques
Following each seminar, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the principles of Qi Gong Therapy.
2. Identify and demonstrate basic Qi cultivation exercises and practices.
3. Identify Qi based techniques to relieve discomfort and improve the health and well-being
    of patients.
4. Apply and demonstrate each therapeutic technique using Qi.
5. Identify appropriate patient feedback for each technique.
6. Recognize different physical responses to therapy from the patient.

This course is highly experiential and provides hands-on learning and practice of each
technique. First, I teach students to recognize, build and harness their
own Qi. The practitioner is focused on using Qi with each particular technique. Next, I
breakdown each technique introduced and explore its use on the entire body. By merging
Qi with each technique, and thus influencing the patients Qi, the practitioner is able to enhance
the therapy provided to their patients.

With any group activity there is a need for rules and guidelines. For this seminar to be successful, we need to have mutual cooperation. Each participant must agree with the following guidelines:

* Only one person at a time will talk. If someone else is talking, I will not interrupt.
* I will be responsible for my actions, speech, and thoughts.
* I will fully participate with my mind, body, and spirit.
* I will stay in the moment, and go with the flow.

Participants should wear loose clothing and flat shoes. A towel or blanket is needed for meditation. Please do not wear perfume or scented lotions. However, deodorant is definately okay!
